Cosmetic lip enhancement
consists of the enlargement and/or reshaping of the upper and/or lower
lips to improve their balance in relation with the patient's nose,
teeth, and face.
There are a variety of ways to enhance lips. The main three ways lips
can be enhanced are via injectable fillers such as
juvederm,restylane,collagen,perlane which are temporary, V-Y plasty or
implants, both of which are permanent. There are several types of
implants on the market today, some natural and some made of synthetic
materials.
A V-Y plasty pulls out a portion of the patient's own lip that is hidden
inside, thus widening the lip externally. This can be performed on the
upper and the lower lip. During your consultation, the doctor will
review your options with you to help you achieve the look you desire.
